For the sake of this thread, I agree that Wright’s words were taken out of context for a sensational telecast by ABC, an apparent supporter of Hillary’s candidacy.  And the link you furnished proves it.

For some trivia, are you aware that it was a Black, and former slave himself by the name of Anthony Johnson, who was responsible for the perpetual institution of slavery in this country?  Check out this link:

The case of Johnson v.s. Parker is indicative of the early slave trade with Africa. The African slaves were still considered to be a human beings who could have rights under law in the “known world”. This period did not last very long and gave way to the soulless mindless animal phase used to reinforce and justify the horrendous conditions to come in the 1700’s .

This vial and outrageous assault on Trinity United and Rev. Jeremiah Wright by Fox News can only be considered in the context of Fox News’s latest attempt to rewrite the history of President Clinton’s Administration’s efforts to deal with Usamah Bin Ladin . Now Fox News is complicit in the attempted smearing of Trinity United and Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Sen. Barack Obama .

The L.A. Times reported today that one of the film’s producer-writers is certain that: “Powerful forces are out to protect Bill Clinton’s presidential legacy and shield Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton from any potential collateral damage in her bid for the White House,” by burying the DVD of “The Path to 9/11.”


The Times quotes one of the film’s producers saying that he was told by an ABC honcho: “If Hillary weren’t running for president, this wouldn’t be a problem.” The DVD would be out.

        Sheldon is hardly a lone actor. He’s one of the leaders of the new religious right that’s taking over where Jerry Falwell left off. Its leaders include Gary Bauer and James Dobson, leader of Focus on the Family, a $112 million-a-year ministry in Colorado Springs, Colo. Dobson reaches from 3 million to 5 million listeners a day by radio. The new religious right leaders make Falwell look like a benign country preacher.

        Dobson’s burgeoning evangelical ministry is untested in electoral politics, but his power is evident. Shortly after Dobson came to Washington earlier this summer, Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott called homosexuality a sin and compared it to alcoholism. Then bills started moving through Congress that would overturn Clinton’s executive order barring discrimination against homosexuals in federal hiring; another would deny federal funds to cities that require specific employer benefits to domestic partners. Dobson has sent nine priorities to Congress that would strip funding for Planned Parenthood, ban human cloning and fetal tissue research and eliminate the National Endowment for the Arts1.

    The GOP Congressmen Who Let Usamah Bin Ladin Kill 3000 AMERICANS On 9/11.


    The Republican cry of “Wag the Dog”
    Originating from a 1997 movie, Wag the Dog was a phrase used by the right to suggest Clinton’s air strikes were driven by ulterior motives in an effort to distract the public. Some examples below:

    • Rep. Jim Gibbons (R-NV): “‘Look at the movie Wag the Dog. I think this has all the elements of that movie,’ Rep. Jim Gibbons, R-Nev., said. ‘Our reaction to the embassy bombings should be based on sound credible evidence, not a knee-jerk reaction to try to direct public attention away from his personal problems.’” [Ottawa Citizen, 8/21/98]
    • Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA): “There’s an obvious issue which will be raised internationally about the response here as to whether there is any diversionary motive involved. … I have deliberated consciously any references to Ms. Monica Lewinsky, but when you ask the question in very blunt terms, the president’s current problems have to be on the minds of many people.” [CNN, 8/20/98]
    • Then Sen. John Ashcroft (R-MO): “‘We support the president out of a sense of duty whenever he deploys military forces, but we’re not sure - were these forces sent at this time because he needed to divert our attention from his personal problems?’ Ashcroft said during the taping of a TV program in Manchester, N.H.” [St. Louis Post-Dispatch, 8/21/98]
    • Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX): “I’m very supportive of the strike that has happened, but I will tell you that the timing is very questionable. This was the day that Monica Lewinsky has gone back to the grand jury, evidently enraged. Certainly that information will be overshadowed.” [Dallas Morning News, 8/21/98]
    • Then Sen. Dan Coats (R-IN): “Coats (R-IN), a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said in a statement, ‘While there is clearly much more we need to learn about this attack and why it was ordered today, given the president’s personal difficulties this week, it is legitimate to question the timing of this action.’” [CNN, 8/20/98]
    • Rep. Dave Weldon (R-FL): “‘The obvious question is, are the two connected?’ asked Rep. Dave Weldon (R-Fla.), who chairs the National Security Committee’s research subcommittee. ‘That’s the unthinkable, and I would hope it would never occur in America, but I can tell you, a lot of people are wondering about it today.’” [Los Angeles Times, 8/21/98]
    • Then Rep. Bob Barr (R-GA): “All I’m saying is if factors other than good intelligence, military necessity, being prepared for the consequences entered into it, then it is wrong, and it appears that one of those factors that may have entered into it is to take something that could have been done a week ago and do it today in an effort to divert some attention.” [Fox News, 8/20/98]

    President Clinton’s response to Chris Wallace’s question about going after Osama bin Laden represents “an assault on all journalists.”

    Ailes said Clinton had a “wild overreaction” in the interview, broadcast on “Fox News Sunday.” Hundreds of thousands of people subsequently watched clips over the Internet, with Fox foes rallying behind Clinton.

    “If you can’t sit there and answer a question from a professional, mild-mannered, respectful reporter like Chris Wallace, then the hatred for journalists is showing,” Ailes said in an interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday. “All journalists need to raise their eyebrows and say, `hold on a second.’”

    Mr. Ailes I put this question to you did your attempts to purge the Fox news archives of any embarrassing news about 9/11 begin here…..???

    Good afternoon. Today I ordered our Armed Forces to strike at terrorist-related facilities in Afghanistan and Sudan because of the imminent threat they presented to our national security.

    I want to speak with you about the objective of this action and why it was necessary. Our target was terror. Our mission was clear, to strike at the network of radical groups affiliated with and funded by Usama bin Ladin, perhaps the preeminent organizer and financier of international terrorism in the world today.

    Oh the great divide that Monica Lewinsky hath wrought. Poor Monica Lewinsky tripped over Linda Tripp and fell into Ken Starr’s web and was eaten by the RNC and had her sex life regurgitated all over the evening news.

    All in all I think President Clinton and his Administration did all they could with the likes of Newt Gingrich hunting him in the US House of Representatives .

    ABC Lies About President Clinton And 9/11

    The RNC /Cato/Heritage alliance is trying to hide the fact that President Clinton called Sen. Trent Lott and Newt Gingrich to the White House to talk about the Usamah Bin Ladin threat. After the meeting with President Clinton both Newt Gingrich and Sen. Trent Lott held a press conference out side the White House. During this press conference Newt Gingrich stated that the Republican congressional leadership would not be distracted by terrorism and the Usamah Bin Ladin threat. Newt Gingrich said the focus would remain on Monica Lewinsky and the RNC impeachment drive . Seams that sperm stains on Monica Lewinsky’s dress were more important to the RNC congressional leadership than Usamah Bin Ladin . By the way President Clinton tried on two (2) occasions to kill Usamah Bin Ladin by himself President Clinton wanted help from congress but they were too busy investigating “unique identifying characteristics” of President Clinton’s penis. What ever turn you on.
